Digital Desk: Are you planning to watch Shahid Kapoor's 'Jersey' on April 14? If so, you'll be disappointed to learn that the film's release date has been pushed back yet again. 'Jersey,' which also stars Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapur in the lead role, will now be released on April 22.

Film producer Aman Gill shared the update, saying, "We put our blood, sweat, and tears into 'Jersey,' and we want our beloved film to reach as many people as possible. Jersey will now be released on April 22."

'Jersey,' directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, is a remake of the National Award-winning Telugu film of the same name. Shahid will play Arjun, a failed cricketer who decides to fulfil his son's dream of representing Team India in the film.

It seems that the release date has been pushed back to avoid a box office clash with Yash's 'KGF: Chapter 2', which will be released in theatres on April 14.

Previously, 'Jersey' was delayed in December last year due to an increase in Covid-19 cases.
