He requested the international community to intervene as Bangladesh is under attack and needs global attention.

Digital Desk: Amid the ongoing political unrest in Bangladesh, a senior Awami League leader, Dr Rabbi Alam on Wednesday claimed that former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina would return to the country as its PM. Rabbi is the vice president of the USA Awami League and a close friend of ousted PM Sheikh Hasina. Making the big claim, he termed the political crisis in Bangladesh as a "terrorist uprising."

Rabbi extended his gratitude to the Indian government for providing a safe shelter to Sheikh Hasina.

He requested the international community to intervene as Bangladesh is under attack and needs global attention.

Rabbi said that the students had made a big mistake by protesting against the government but they were manipulated by external forces.

Speaking to ANI, Rabbi said, "Sheikh Hasina is coming back as the prime minister. The young generation has made a mistake, but that's not their fault, they have been manipulated...,"

He further said, "Bangladesh is under attack and it needs to be addressed by the international community. A political uprising is fine, but that is not what has been going on in Bangladesh. This is a terrorist uprising."

Sheikh Hasina fled to India in 2024 following the violent student-led protest against the government.
