Digital Desk: The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear on Monday Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's plea against a high court order that has upheld his arrest in a money-laundering case stemming from the alleged excise policy scam.
A panel formed of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and Dipankar Datta will hear Kejriwal's case on April 15 to contest the April 9 order of the Delhi High Court, per the cause list posted on the website of the highest court.
The Chief Minister suffered a severe setback when the High Court affirmed his arrest in the money-laundering case. The court stated that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had "little option" to deal with after the Chief Minister ignored multiple summonses and declined to cooperate with the investigation.

The case relates to allegations of money laundering and corruption during the development and implementation of the excise policy for 2021–2022 which was later abandoned by the Delhi administration.
Shortly after the Supreme Court denied Kejriwal's request for immunity from the federal anti-money laundering agency's coercive action, the ED arrested him on March 21.
He's currently being held in Tihar Jail under judicial custody till April 15.
