Nine planes were diverted to Jaipur, eight to Lucknow, two to Chandigarh, and one each to Varanasi, Amritsar, and Ahmedabad out of the total.

Digital Desk: An official said that poor weather on Saturday evening caused up to 22 planes at the Delhi airport to be diverted.

Nine planes were diverted to Jaipur, eight to Lucknow, two to Chandigarh, and one each to Varanasi, Amritsar, and Ahmedabad out of the total.

According to the official, among those who were diverted were nine planes operated by IndiGo, eight by Air India, and three by Vistara.
According to the authority, the flights were rerouted between 1500 and 1830 hours.

Approximately 1,300 flights are handled daily by the national capital's Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA).
