They have been remanded to Police Custody for three days
Digital Desk: In a major crackdown, three people linked to insurgent group extortion activities were arrested by the Guwahati City Police Crime Branch after reliable intelligence reports. The three arrested people who came from Mon district in Nagaland were supposedly working with extortive operations that functioned in various regions surrounding Guwahati.
The three arrested people are as follows:-
1. S. Hangmei Konyak (37), son of Lt. Sapa Konyak, from Chen village, PS Aboi.
2.Yaman Konyak (25), son of Shumwalng Konyak, from Loisho village, PS Mon.
3. Y. Nemkha Konyak (21), son of Lt. Yakei Konyak, from Chen village, PS Aboi.
The Crime Branch Police Station registered formal charges that induced the court to receive the trio. All three suspects have been remanded to police custody for three days. Police authorities continue their investigation of this matter.
