Digital Desk: A devastating incident took place at Daipam in Darrang district, where two young siblings lost their lives after drowning in a water-filled pit at a brick kiln.


The tragedy occurred within the jurisdiction of the Dalgon Police Station.


According to reports, the children's mother Phulbhanu, was working in the fields while her two children played nearby on the kiln premises.


The victims, identified as Sumi (9) and her brother Rifad, accidentally fell into a deep excavation pit filled with water and drowned.


The heartbreaking loss has cast a pall of gloom over the entire area as the local community mourns the untimely death of the two children.
