Digital Desk: In a tragic road accident in Guwahati's Borbari area, a police constable lost his life early this morning. The deceased person has been identified as Kaushik Medhi, a jawan of the 2nd ASRF/30 APBN.


As per reports, Medhi was on his way from his residence in Koinadhora to join duty at Panikhaiti Police Outpost when the accident happened. While riding his motorbike near Pratiksha Hospital, he slammed into one of the GMC garbage bins and got seriously wounded. He was immediately rushed to Excelcare Hospital but was pronounced dead a few moments after.


Kaushik Medhi had just joined the police force in the year 2022, and was recently shifted to Panikhaiti Police Outpost on 3rd June . He was scheduled to begin his shift at 6 a.m. today.

His untimely death has cast a pall of grief over the police department and his colleagues. A probe has been launched into the matter.
