Digital Desk: In a major operation, the Guwahati police on Wednesday arrested 2 individuals including a woman from the Ganeshpara area of Fatasil Ambari.
On June 18 at 8 PM, acting on source-based intelligence and under the supervision of ACP AZARA, a team from Fatasil Ambari Police Station conducted a house search in the Ganeshpara area,under the jurisdiction of Fatasil Ambari PS.
During the operation, around 6.8 kilogram of suspected cannabis (ganja) were recovered from the house.
Two individuals, identified as Jiten Garh (52) and Manu Garh (37) were apprehended during the operation.
Field testing using DDK confirmed the substance as cannabis. The contraband was seized in accordance with legal procedures.
Further necessary actions are underway.
