Their condition is reported to be critical but stable
Digital Desk: A dangerous road accident happened during the wee hours of Sunday April 27, at around 3:30 AM near the NRL petrol pump located in Sundarpur, ZooRoad in Guwahati. A high-speed dumper truck collided with a scooter, thus causing severe injuries to the two scooter riders.
According to witness statements, the dumper vehicle bearing AS01HC8730 was travelling at an extremely high speed before crushing scooter AS17R1123. Intense force from the collision resulted in serious damage to the scooter along with the dumper.
The nearby people immediately arrived after the accident to help the patients transport the injured to the closest hospital. Medical staff describe the patients as being in a critical condition that stays stable.
The police arrived at the accident shortly after it happened and started the investigation to determine the exact cause of the crash . Police believe overspeeding plays a significant role in causing this incident.
