Digital Desk: A young man's mysterious death has once again shaken Guwahati. The lifeless body of Babul Ali, a resident of Jalukbari, was discovered in a rented house in Ulubari.
According to his family, the tragedy may have stemmed from an extramarital affair.
Reports suggest that Babul, who was married, spent Thursday night at a rented house with another woman.
He had informed his wife that he was going to a rehabilitation center and spoke to her around 9:30 PM on Thursday. However, news of his death reached his family by the next morning.
The woman who had been with Babul at the rented house informed the family about his death. His family suspects that the woman may be involved in the incident.
Cut marks were also found on Babul's neck, raising further questions regarding his death.
Babul's body has been sent to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) morgue for a post-mortem examination.
His family has filed a formal complaint at the Bhangagarh police station. Investigations are underway to find the truth behind this tragic incident.
