Digital Desk: A tragic incident has surfaced in Dibrugarh, where a tenth-grade student became pregnant following sexual abuse.
The young girl secretly underwent surgery to deliver the baby at Brahmaputra Hospital in Dibrugarh, after which the newborn was given up for adoption.
The shocking events took place in Moran, Dibrugarh, involving a married man named Bharat Munda. He allegedly exploited the 15-year-old girl under the guise of love and subjected her to sexual assault.
As a result, the girl became pregnant, and on June 23, she delivered the child at the private Brahmaputra Hospital. Instead of alerting the authorities, the hospital staff concealed the entire matter.
The incident came to light after the local village head reported it to the Moran police station.
Following investigations, authorities discovered that the newborn had been handed over to a man from Tinsukia.
The child was later rescued and reunited with its mother in a children's home.
