Digital Desk: A private company's gas pipeline exploded in the Yamuna in Uttar Pradesh's Baghpat, causing a spout of water to shoot up 25 to 30 feet into the air, news agency PTI reported.

An underwater gas pipeline of the Indraprastha Gas Limited Company blew up in the Yamuna River near the village of Jagosh. The explosion was seen on video, sending a spray of water 25–30 feet into the air and prompting locals to panic.

According to the SDM, Senior authorities who arrived on the scene alerted people to the area and also informed the gas company. The official also said that the pipeline's supply of gas has been stopped.

The incident occurred on Wednesday in the Chhaprauli area of Baghpat, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Subhash Singh informed. However, the official stated that no casualties had been reported so far.
