Digital Desk: Several people were injured, and a woman remains in critical condition following an attack by a domesticated buffalo in the Dhing area of Nagaon district.


The incident took place yesterday morning in Mohkhuti village.


According to reports, the victim, identified as Habija Khatun, was preparing tea in her kitchen when the buffalo suddenly entered and attacked her.


Several youths who attempted to intervene were also injured during the rampage.


Khatun was rushed to a private nursing home in Nagaon, where she is currently in the ICU battling life-threatening injuries.


The incident has sparked controversy as allegations surface against the buffalo's owner, Hormuz Ali of Khairamari village.


According to the victim's family, Ali has failed to take any responsibility or provide financial assistance for her medical care.


The victim's family has already lodged an FIR against the owner at Dhing Police Station.


As Habija Khatun belongs to an underprivileged family, local residents have issued an urgent appeal to kind-hearted individuals for financial assistance to help cover the costs of her life-saving treatment.
