    "She has left us" : Amitabh Bachchan mourns the loss of Nightingale of India, Lata Mangeshkar
    Digital Desk: After nearly a month of fighting health concerns, Lata Mangeshkar passed away on February 6, 2022. At 8:12 a.m., the golden voice of Indian music went away. Her mortal remains will be transported to Shivaji Park, where people will pay their respects.

    As people commemorate and pay homage to the great musician, condolence comments have been pouring in on social media. Amitabh Bachchan rushed to his blog this morning to express his condolences on the veteran singer's death.  'She Has Left Us. The voice of a million centuries has left us .. her voice resounds now in the Heavens! Prayers for calm and peace .. ". Amitabh Bachchan and Lata Mangeshkar worked together recently in ‘Hum Hindustani‘ – a patriotic song for Independence Day.

    Lata Mangeshkar's doctor issued a statement upon her death, stating that the veteran singer died of multi-organ failure after more than 28 days in the hospital following COVID 19. She was improving until last week when her condition deteriorated to the point where she needed to be put on ventilator support on Saturday morning.

    Two days of national mourning will be commemorated in remembrance of Lata Mangeshkar, according to government officials. As a gesture of respect, the national flag will be flown at half-mast for two days.

    Lata Mangeshkar is survived by five siblings Meena Khadikar, Asha Bhosle, Usha Mangeshkar, and Hridaynath Mangeshkar.
