    'An artist born but once in centuries': India sends condolences to Lata Mangeshkar 
    Digital Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi penned down an emotional Twitter post for the demise of an exceptional singer and a legend of India, Lata Mangeshkar.

    Nightingale of Bollywood, Lata ji, passed away on Sunday after fighting her battle with life for several days in the hospital. Sadly, she took her last breath in Mumbai. Doctors have informed that the cause of the death is the failure of multiple organs.

    Every Indian today goes through heartbreak after hearing the news of Lata Mangeshkar's demise. Lata ji has brought life to music and has given uncountable melodies for life.

    On her demise, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, "I am anguished beyond words. The kind and caring Lata Didi has left us. She leaves a void in our nation that cannot be filled. The coming generations will remember her as a stalwart of Indian culture, whose melodious voice had an unparalleled ability to mesmerise people."

    PM Modi further added, "Lata Didi's songs brought out a variety of emotions. She closely witnessed the transitions of the Indian film world for decades. Beyond films, she was always passionate about India's growth. She always wanted to see a strong and developed India."

    PM Modi also expressed, "I consider it my honour that I have always received immense affection from Lata Didi. My interactions with her will remain unforgettable. I grieve with my fellow Indians on the passing away of Lata Didi. Spoke to her family and expressed condolences. Om Shanti."

    Along with PM Modi, President of India Ram Nath Kovind posted, "Lata-ji's demise is heartbreaking for me, as it is for millions the world over. In her vast range of songs, rendering the essence and beauty of India, generations found expression of their inner-most emotions. A Bharat Ratna, Lata-ji's accomplishments will remain incomparable."

    He added, "An artist born but once in centuries, Lata-didi was an exceptional human being, full of warmth, as I found whenever I met her. The divine voice has gone quiet forever but her melodies will remain immortal, echoing in eternity. My condolences to her family and admirers everywhere."

    Union Home Minister wrote an emotional note in Hindi on the demise of Lata Ji. The post read, "सुर व संगीत की पूरक लता दीदी ने अपनी सुर साधना व मंत्रमुग्ध कर देने वाली वाणी से न सिर्फ भारत बल्कि पूरे विश्व में हर पीढ़ी के जीवन को भारतीय संगीत की मिठास से सराबोर किया। संगीत जगत में उनके योगदान को शब्दों में पिरोना संभव नहीं है। उनका निधन मेरे लिए व्यक्तिगत क्षति है।"

    Congress leader tweeted, "Received the sad news of Lata Mangeshkar ji's demise. She remained the most beloved voice of India for many decades. Her golden voice is immortal and will continue to echo in the hearts of her fans. My condolences to her family, friends and fans."

    Additionally, General Secretary, Indian National Congress Priyanka Gandhi wrote, " भारतीय संगीत की बगिया में सुरों को चुन-चुन कर सजाने वाली सुर साम्राज्ञी सुश्री लता मंगेशकर जी के निधन का दुखद समाचार मिला। उनके निधन से भारतीय कला जगत को एक अपूर्णीय क्षति हुई है। ईश्वर लता जी को श्री चरणों में स्थान दें और इस दुःख की घड़ी में परिजनों को कष्ट सहने का साहस दें।"

    Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also expressed his condolences. He wrote, "India grieves the demise of great #LataDidi, most loved, most adored and a kind human being who touched a billion hearts with her captivating voice. Her passing away marks the end of an era, but her songs & spirit will live on in the hearts & minds forever. #मेरी_आवाज_ही_पहचान_है."

    Along with these personalities, the entire individuals of India have sent condolences to the family and friends of the late Lata Mangeshkar with their aching hearts.
