    Aruna Irani reveals that she played Sanjay Dutt's mother in Rocky, and had to 'seduce' him in his ne
    Digital Desk: Veteran actress Aruna Irani has made a significant contribution to the Indian cinema and television industries. The actress has appeared in films such as Caravan, Bombay To Goa, Sargam, Fakira, and Beta. In a recent interview, Irani revealed an intriguing admission about her casting with Sanjay Dutt. She stated that after playing Dutt's mother in his debut film Rocky (1981), and she needed to seduce him in his next film.

    Talking about the same with The Times Of India, Aruna Irani said, "I had worked with a majority of film actors and there is no specific actor whom I would like to name, as everyone was extremely nice to work with. I even enjoyed working with Sanju (Sanjay Dutt). I played his mother in his debut film and seduced him in his next film (laughs). I still don't understand how people used to accept it in those times and even now."

    In an interview with The Times of India, Aruna Irani stated, "I'd worked with the vast majority of cinema stars, and there's no one in particular I'd like to single out since everyone was a pleasure to work with. I even had a good time working with Sanju (Sanjay Dutt). In his first picture, I portrayed his mother, and in his second, I seduced him (laughs). I still don't understand how people accepted that back then and now."

    In the same interview, Aruna Irani claimed that when she first met her now-husband and filmmaker Kuku Kohli, she had no idea he was married with children. In 1990, the Aulad actress married the filmmaker. She described how their meeting began with several conflicts, which she remembers and stated, "We met each other during one of the films that we worked on together. During that film, he used to make all the other actors wait till Dharmendra ji arrived on sets to start the shoot. And I used to get very angry at him as I was too working on some other films at that time. So we started with a love and hate relationship. I used to get very upset with him and he used to console me. Uss Chakkar Mein Kaise Lafda Ho Gaya Samajh Nahi Aya (Don't know how we fell for each other due to that)."

    Aruna Irani also stated that she was unaware of Kiku Kohli's prior wife and children. According to the Khel Khel Mein actress, "He didn't even tell me he was married when we met, which is how I fell in love with him. As he was already married with a wife and girls, it didn't appear good to talk about our connection. I'm bringing it up now since his first wife died a few months ago." Meanwhile, Aruna Irani has starred in television programmes like as Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji, Daastan-E-Mohabbat Salim Anarkali, and Yeh Un Dino Ki Baat Hai.
