Mumbai: On Monday, Producer Ekta Kapoor was infected with coronavirus and is under quarantine.
Announcing her health status, the 46-year-old producer wrote in her Instagram post, “Despite taking all precautions, I have tested Covid positive. I am fine and I request everyone who has come in contact with me to please test themselves (sic).”
Soon after the post, the comment section was filled with warm wishes from B-Town celebs and fans.
Hina Khan commented, “Speedy recovery.”

Hansal Mehta wrote, “Take care Ekta.” While Aly Goni, Sanjay Kapoor commented, “Get well soon.”
The others to wish her include Vikrant Massey, Mouni Roy, Dheeraj Dhoopar, Shweta Tiwari and Guneet Monga.
Previously, John Abraham and his wife Priya Runchal tested positive for the deadly virus.
Sharing the news in his Instagram account, John wrote, “I came in contact 3 days ago with someone who I later learned had COVID. Priya and I have tested positive for COVID. We have been quarantined at home, so we haven’t been in contact with anyone else. We are both vaccinated & experiencing mild symptoms. Please stay well and healthy. Masks up.”
On the work front, Ekta Kapoor’s Naagin has returned with its sixth season. Recently, the producer in the show Bigg Boss 15 revealed the return of the Naagin 6. On January 2, the makers of the supernatural TV series released the first 22-second teaser of the show.
Moreover, Ekta Kapoor is busy with Do Baaraa and Ek Villain Returns projects. She’s also working on Freddy, starring Kartik Aaryan.
Since the second half of last month, Mumbai has seen a dramatic increase in covid-19 cases. On Sunday, the city reported 8,063 new cases, up from 1,763 on Saturday, bringing the total caseload to 7,99,520, while the city’s overall death rate was reported at 16,377, according to official data.
