    Ranveer Singh was charged with "hurting the sensibilities of women" in a police complaint. According to the complainant, the actor's photos offended women's feelings and mocked their modesty.

    Digital Desk: Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh, who recently sparked controversy for posing naked for a magazine photoshoot, has informed Mumbai Police that one of the images of him has been altered and morphed.

    The actor claims that the photograph was not taken as it is being presented.

    On August 29, the police took a statement from Ranveer Singh, which they are now checking.

    About the case

    According to Sections 292, and 294 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), as well as Sections 509 and 67(A) of the Information Technology (IT) Act, the actor from Bajirao Mastani was charged with obscenity. The Chembur police station is where the FIR against him was filed.

    It is to be noted that Ranveer Singh was charged with "hurting the sensibilities of women" in a police complaint. According to the complainant, the actor's photos offended women's feelings and mocked their modesty.

    Since the publication of the photographs from his photo shoot with PAPER magazine in July, the actor has become embroiled in a number of controversy. Overnight, the photos went viral. Some people criticised them, while others praised the actor for his audacious approach.
