    A 10-member panel for the 68th National Film Awards met with Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur earlier today and presented their findings. The jury was chaired by filmmaker Vipul Shah.

    Digital Desk: The 68th National Film Awards winners were declared today in New Delhi. The Directorate of Film Festivals of the Indian Government is in charge of administering the renowned prizes, which were established in 1954. This year's presentation honoured films from 2020 in various categories due to COVID-19-related delays.

"I wish to congratulate all the jury members and all that whose work was reviewed and would like to congratulate the individuals who will receive the National Film Prizes. A word of appreciation to everyone who has done an outstanding job, "Thakur said in a statement to ANI regarding the awards.

    Moreover, he said, "I am glad that this year we will be holding the 68 National Film Awards since we could not hold the awards for two years because of COVID."

    Best Director: Sachy, Ayyappanum Koshiyum

    Best Actor: Suriya for Soorarai Pottru and Ajay Devgn for Tanhaji

    Best Lyrics: Saina

    Best Costume Design: Tanhaji

    Best Make-up: Natyam

    Best Stunt Choreography: Ayyappanum Koshiyum

    Best Feature Film in Hindi: Toolsidas Junior

    Best Feature Film in Kannada: Dollu

    Best Feature Film in Malayalam: Thinkalazhcha Nishchayam

    Best Feature Film in Tamil: Sivaranjiniyum Innum Sila Pengalum

    Best Feature Film in Telugu: Colour Photo

    Best Feature Film in Haryanvi: Dada Lakhmi

    Best Feature Film in Dimasa: Samkhor

    Best Feature Film in Tulu: Jeetige


    It may be mentioned that apart from chairman Vipul Shah, cinematographer Dharam Gulati, National Award-winning Bengali actor Sreelekha Mukherjee, cinematographer GS Bhaskar, A Karthikraaja, VN Aditya, Viji Thampi, Sanjeev Rattan, S Thangadurai, and Nishigandha are among the jury members.
