Newly-Wed Woman Thrown Out of House Due to Short Height
Allegations have surfaced that the woman was forcibly thrown out of her husband's home due to her height.

Digital Desk: A newly married woman, allegedly subjected to physical abuse at the hands of her husband's family, has undergone treatment at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).

Allegations have surfaced that the woman was forcibly thrown out of her husband's home due to her height.

Despite their marriage, excuses were allegedly made to justify the mistreatment.

In response, the woman's family lodged a formal complaint at the Odalbakra police station.

Following the FIR, the police arrested the woman's husband, Rajkumar Das.

However, there are claims that the police displayed a lenient attitude towards Das, who appeared arrogant during questioning, allegedly due to his job at the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) court.

After recording his statement under Section 41 of the CRPC, the police allowed him to leave.

Further allegations have emerged against Rajkumar, accusing him of marrying two women and subjecting them to abuse.

Reports suggest that he married these women, later assaulted them, and forced them out of his home.

The local community has expressed shock and outrage at the actions of Rajkumar and his family.

The newly married woman has shared her ordeal, revealing her husband's desire to marry her sister because of her taller stature.

The victim also alleged that Rajkumar called her to the upper floor of their house and beat her up.

It is noted that Rajkumar Das, a resident of Odalbakra, married the young woman from Mayong on June 2.
