On the night of 9th June,  she was produced before the local court in Ghazipur to obtain transit remand, and after that, Meghalaya Police took her into custody. Previously, she was sent to Sadar Hospital and then kept in a women’s assistance center.

According to Shillong Police, three other accused have already been taken into custody. The fourth, Sonam, is supposed to travel from Ghazipur to Patna in a vehicle and then board a flight to Guwahati, where another vehicle will take her to Shillong.

Officials add that all of the accused are being questioned right now by the Shillong Police in Indore. So far, five people have been arrested following the case.

The incident traces back to May 23, when Sonam and Raja Raghuvanshi went missing during a vacation in Sohra, East Khasi Hills, Meghalaya. Later, Raja’s body was found in a gorge near the Weisawdong waterfalls on June 2. Sonam disappeared from the scene after that incident.
