Assam: ECI publishes final delimitation order for Assembly & Parliamentary Constituencies

Digital Desk: The final list of aggregate selections has been published by the Election Commission of India (ECI). According to the list released on Friday (August 11), the names of 19 Assembly constituencies of Assam have been changed. There is only change in one parliamentary constituency.

According to the new list, there will be 126 assembly seats and 14 Lok Sabha seats. However, some of the names of the constituencies will be changed as they were published in the draft before.

It is to be noted that the Election Commission of India on Friday published the final list of redrawing of legislative and parliamentary assemblies for Assam in accordance with section 8 of the Representation of the People Act, 1950.
