Notably, the government has made regular settlements of Rs 33,997 crore to CGST and Rs 28,538 crore to SGST from IGST.
Digital Desk: The government collected more than Rs 1.45 trillion in goods and services tax (GST) in November, an increase of 11% over the previous year and driven by higher revenues from imports.
"The revenues for November were Rs. 1,31,526 crore, 11% more than the GST collections in the corresponding month previous year.” According to preliminary data released by the finance ministry on Thursday, "revenue from imports of products was 20% higher during the month and revenue from domestic transactions, which includes imports of services, was 8% higher than during the same month the previous year."
The monthly GST collection has exceeded Rs 1.4 trillion for nine months running.
Central GST (CGST) was Rs 25,681 crore, state GST (SGST) Rs 32,651 crore, integrated GST (IGST) Rs 77,103 crore (including Rs 38,636 crore collected on import of goods), and cess was Rs 10,433 crore of the total gross GST mop-up in November (including Rs 817 crore collected on import of goods).
Notably, the government has made regular settlements of Rs 33,997 crore to CGST and Rs 28,538 crore to SGST from IGST.
After regular settlements for the month, the combined revenue for the Centre and the States was Rs 59678 crore for the CGST and Rs 61189 crore for the SGST.
Additionally, during the month, the Center distributed Rs 17,000 crore to states as GST compensation.
