Digital Desk: In a massive accident, at least 13 people have been killed after a passenger bus caught fire following an accident in Madhya Pradesh's Guna on Wednesday night.


A head-on collision between a private bus and a dumper on the Guna-Aaron route resulted in seventeen further injuries. The hurt individuals have been sent to nearby medical facilities.


Guna District Collector Tarun Rathi, who confirmed the death toll, said that the injured people are out of danger.


"Seventeen people are currently undergoing treatment at the district hospital, and they are reported to be out of danger, while thirteen people lost their lives in the accident involving a bus and a truck," the district collector stated.


The bodies were burned beyond recognition in the fire, and their identities will be determined by a DNA test.


He continued by saying that everybody had been taken from the scene of the collision and that a thorough investigation to determine what caused it was in progress.


At the time of the incident, the bus had about thirty passengers, a senior police officer told news agency PTI. He said, "Four of them have made it out of the bus and are now at home."


Chief Minister Mohan Yadav of Madhya Pradesh initiated an investigation into the event and offered Rs 50,000 each to the injured and Rs 4 lakh to the relatives of the deceased.
