4. Heavy rainfall brought on by a deep depression over the Bay of Bengal, followed by the release of floodwater from Jharkhand through the Galudih barrage, has caused the water levels in all the rivers in north Odisha to be in spate.

 

5. On Saturday, the flooded Nalkari river washed five persons away in the Ramgarh region of Jharkhand. According to Ramgarh district administrator Madhvi Mishra, four bodies have so far been found.
