Digital Desk: Bhagwant Mann, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader who will take the oath of office as Punjab Chief Minister on Wednesday, has become the catalyst for the reunion of a father and son who have been separated for seven years. Surprisingly, the lead-up to this emotional moment has been the security arrangements put in place ahead of Mann's swearing-in ceremony in Bhagat Singh's Khatkar Kalan village. Jaswinder Singh, the son of Devinder Singh and a resident of the Faridkot district, fled his home seven years ago. Despite his family members' best efforts, he was difficult to find. Following that, the case was filed at the police station. When Nawanshahr ASI Balwinder Singh inquired about him at his home, it was revealed that their son had left the house seven years before. When the family arrived in Khatkar Kalan, they were greeted by their son. Devinder eventually arrived at the venue to pick up his son and thanked the officers. Jaswinder Singh stated that he had been working at the ceremony site for the previous five days. "I used to do crockery work before that. I had left home because I was angry for some reason ", he explained. Bhagwant Mann, the leader of the Aam Admi Party (AAP), was sworn in as Punjab chief minister in Khatkar Kalan, Bhagat Singh's ancestral village. Arvind Kejriwal, the party's national convener, and all of the party's Punjab MLAs attended the AAP-exclusive event. Charanjit Singh Channi, the outgoing chief minister, was not invited to the oath-taking ceremony. The AAP won 92 seats in the 117-member Punjab assembly, marking the largest victory in the state's history.
