Digital Desk: Conrad Sangma's NPP, a Meghalayan political organisation, has been in charge of the state for the second time in a row. It was viewed as a significant victory for the Meghalaya party that the NPP won five seats in Nagaland for the first time. 

In celebration of their party obtaining five seats in Nagaland's 60-member parliament, members of the National People's Party (NPP) tossed cash outside the residence of party leader C Kipili Sangtam.

In a video that went viral on social media, NPP workers could be seen celebrating their victory at Nagaland's Kiphire by shouting and dancing, throwing cash in the air, and dancing. 

In Nagaland, the BJP-NDPP coalition won 37 seats, surpassing the majority mark.

The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), which is led by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, gained seven seats. The Lok Janshakti Party, which is led by Ram Vilas, the Naga People's Front, and the Republican Party of India (Athawale), each won two seats. Four seats went to independents.

The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP), which has been in power in Nagaland, is taking over again.
