Digital Desk: The Guwahati Police apprehended six members of Bir Lachit Sena Assam following clashes with Kamakhya temple authorities, reports said on Saturday.

The altercation unfolded on Friday when a scuffle erupted between the members of the Bir Lachit Sena and employees of the Kamakhya temple parking. 

According to sources, a scuffle erupted between Bir Lachit Sena members and Kamakhya temple parking staff, prompting temple management to file an FIR at Jalukbari Police Station.

Acting swiftly, Jalukbari Police detained six individuals identified as Bikash Axom, Tapan Sharma, Matiur Rahman, Rabi Dihingia, Manoj Deka, and Bikrant Kalita, all associated with the Bir Lachit Sena Kamrup district Committee.

The incident highlights tensions surrounding temple management and local organizations. 

Authorities are expected to conduct a thorough investigation to address underlying issues and prevent future conflicts, emphasizing the importance of peaceful resolution in such sensitive matters.
