Digital Desk: In a shocking incident, a 32-year-old man identified as Liyaqat lost his life after an argument over extra raita, a popular side dish served with biryani, turned fatal at the renowned 'Meridian Restaurant' in the Punjagutta area on Sunday night. The altercation between Liyaqat and the hotel staff quickly spiraled into a violent confrontation, leading to his tragic demise.

Liyaqat had been dining with a group of friends when he requested additional raita, sparking a dispute with the restaurant staff. Security camera footage captured the altercation, revealing both parties involved in a physical brawl. According to an eyewitness, Liyaqat was subjected to a severe beating by the hotel staff, including the manager.

Concerned bystanders eventually called the Panjagutta police, seeking intervention to resolve the escalating situation. Tragically, as they approached the police station around 11 p.m., Liyaqat complained of breathlessness and chest pain, collapsing on the floor within moments. He was swiftly rushed to a nearby hospital, but despite immediate medical attention, doctors declared him brought dead.

While a preliminary examination suggests a possible cardiac arrest as the cause of death, a conclusive determination will only be made after the results of a postmortem examination are available. The police have initiated a thorough investigation into the incident, aiming to uncover the full details surrounding this tragic loss of life.
