The affected house, owned by Isila Kshiar, was newly built, making the loss even more distressing.

Digital Desk: A devastating inferno wreaked havoc on a newly constructed property in Ri Bhoi District, reducing it to ashes in the wee hours of Wednesday. The blaze, which broke out at around 3:35 AM, engulfed an entire house and the belongings of a family residing in Pahamrioh-Them village.

The affected house, owned by Isila Kshiar, was newly built, making the loss even more distressing. Fortunately, Isila Kshiar was not present at home during the fire outbreak. However, her son, who was asleep at the time, managed to escape unharmed despite his health being unstable.

Initial reports suggest that the fire originated in the kitchen, although the exact cause remains unknown. Despite the efforts of nearby residents to extinguish the flames, their attempts proved futile until the arrival of Fire and Emergency Police personnel. With their intervention, the fire was eventually brought under control and extinguished.
