CM Sangma met with Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma in Guwahati before the vote counting. Sarma is the North-East Democratic Alliance's convener.

Digital Desk: The National People's Party (NPP), led by Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, is in the lead for more than 25 of the 59 Assembly seats. BJP is in the lead in six seats, the TMC in 10, and the Congress in seven seats showing a complex competition in the state.

Timjim K. Momin of the Congress was in second place while Marthon J. Sangma of the NPP was in the lead. Jimmy D. Sangma of the NPP took the lead from Tikrikilla, and Timothy D. Shira of the NPP took the lead from Resubelpara. Rakkam A. Sangma of the NPP was also in the lead in Rongara Siju. 

According to the most recent trends, ANI reported that Lahkmen Rymbui of the United Democratic Party was leading from Amlarem and Pisu Marwein of the United Democratic Party was leading from Ranikor.

The Meghalaya CM suggested on Tuesday that he would team up with NEDA after the election.

Almost 76 percent of eligible voters cast ballots in the state on Monday.

Early indications point to a possible hung assembly, as indicated by exit polls. According to the Times Today ETG Exit Polls, the NPP would win 18 to 26 seats. TMC may get 8–14 seats. The BJP will win three to six seats.

According to India Today-My Axis, NPP will win 18–24 seats. UDP received 8–12 seats, Congress 6–12 seats, TMC may receive 5–9 seats, and BJP 4–8 seats.
