Digital Desk: Ace Indian shuttler PV Sindhu, who was the defending champion of the Swiss Open, was knocked out of the tournament on March 24. Sindhu was defeated by Indonesia's Putri Kusuma Wardani 21-15, 12-21, 21-18 in a hard-fought round of 16 encounters. 

In her opening game, Sindhu defeated Jenjira Stadelmann of Switzerland 21-9, 21-16 on Wednesday to open her women's singles campaign. However, she was unable to maintain her pace.

HS Prannoy, Kidambi Srikanth, and Mithun Manjunath were also eliminated from the competition.

The only Indian challenger left in the tournament is Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, who won 21-12, 17-21, 28-26 against Chinese Taipei pair Fang-Chih Lee and Fang-Jen Lee to progress to the quarter-finals in men's doubles.
