Ten people were injured in the incident, including Suresh, his family members, and neighbours, and were taken to the GTB Hospital in Delhi.

Digital Desk: Ten people sustained burns in Ghaziabad on Friday after a 40-year-old man used cooking gas to set fire to a room in his house following an argument with his wife about his alleged extramarital affair, according to police.

According to people, the incident occurred in Tilak Nagar Colony, near the Loni border.

Suresh had a heated argument with his wife Ritu (36), after which he threatened to kill her. In a fit of rage, he pulled the cooking gas cylinder pipe from the stove, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (rural) Ravi Kumar.

As the gas started spreading throughout the room, Ritu yelled for assistance, and other family members rushed to turn off the gas regulator. Suresh, on the other hand, said that when he flicked the gas lighter, the room briefly caught fire.

Ten people were injured in the incident, including Suresh, his family members, and neighbours, and were taken to the GTB Hospital in Delhi. According to the DCP, all of them are receiving treatment.

Suresh's family claimed that he is having an extramarital relationship with another woman who has divorced her husband and lives alone. According to the police, they claimed he had lost his mental balance.

They stated that action would be taken after receiving a written complaint from Suresh's family members.
