Bumrah would likely have surgery with assistance from a doctor connected to the National Cricket Association (NCA).

Digital Desk: The top Indian bouncer Jasprit Bumrah is expected to be out for at least another six months, which casts significant questions on his chances to play in the ODI World Cup in 2023. The 50-over competition, which is slated to take place in India in October and November of this year, may not have the services of the 29-year-old, who is ranked No. 4 in the ICC Test rankings right now.

Bumrah hasn't appeared for India since the third Twenty20 International against Australia on September 25, 2022, and he has been disqualified from the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, the upcoming IPL, and the World Test Championship final.

Jasprit Bumrah, the Indian speed spearhead, is scheduled to head to New Zealand for back surgery, according to a report in Cricbuzz. His back has been giving him pain for a long time. A Kiwi surgeon has been chosen by the National Cricket Academy's (NCA) managers and the BCCI medical staff to treat Bumrah's ailing back. The concerned expert has experience working with English pacer Jofra Archer.

According to preliminary assessments, the pacer will need 20 to 24 weeks (about 5 and a half months) of recovery time, which means the earliest he can resume playing will probably be in September.

Bumrah would likely have surgery with assistance from a doctor connected to the National Cricket Association (NCA). The fast bowler sought the advice of a doctor in England in September of last year after being diagnosed with a stress fracture in his lower back.
