Digital Desk: Arunachal Pradesh's Kurung Kumey district's Bailey bridge, which connected two key areas, was destroyed by a flash flood on Sunday, according to a Border Roads Organisation (BRO) official.

Koloring, the district administrative centre, and Damin were joined by a bridge over the Oyong River close to Kororu Village, a crucial link at the India-China border, according to him.

According to Brig Anirudh S. Kanwar, Project Arunank Chief Engineer for BRO, the Saturday flash flood washed out the bridge on the Koloriang-Huri road, about a mile from Lee.

Only a panel of the bridge could be seen 100 metres downstream due to the magnitude of the impact, he claimed.

"The 119 Road Construction Company (RCC) of the 756 BRTF has mobilised all required equipment and labour to complete the task as soon as possible under Project Arunank. Major Mohit Kumar, the platoon commander, and Roshan, the officer commanding the 119 RCC, are operating at the location " according to the officials.

Ocean Gao, the additional deputy commissioner (ADC) for Kurung Kumey, stated that he has promised to provide all assistance necessary for the speedy restoration of the road link.
