The total number of Covid cases in the national capital has risen to 18,81,555, with 26,174 deaths.

Digital Desk: The city health department said today that it had received 1,607 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, with two people succumbing to the virus and a positivity rate of 5.28 percent.

These figures are from the Friday health bulletin, which was released this morning by the authorities.

With these new cases, the total number of COVID cases in the national capital has risen to 18,81,555, with 26,174 deaths.

On Thursday, 1,490 COVID-19 cases were reported in Delhi, with a positivity rate of 4.62 percent and two deaths.

According to the health bulletin for Friday, a total of 30,459 tests were performed on Thursday.

During the third wave of the pandemic, the number of daily COVID-19 cases in Delhi reached a new high of 28,867 on January 13 this year.

On January 14, the city had the highest positivity rate during the third wave of the pandemic, which was largely due to the highly transmissible Omicron variant of the coronavirus.

According to the bulletin, there were 3,863 patients in home isolation on Friday.

According to the report, there are 9,581 beds in Delhi hospitals for COVID-19 patients, with 148 (1.54%) of them occupied.
