Digital Desk: During the past eight years of BJP leadership
under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Assam and the Northeastern region,
according to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, have advanced on the path of peace
and development.
Amit Shah stated this after opening the new party office in
Guwahati: "Seventy years of Congress since Independence had pushed the
North East to bloodshed and chaos but during the previous eight years, Modi's
leadership enabled the region to integrate with the mainstream."
He said that 9,000 people laid down their weapons to help the
BJP-led administration bring about peace in Assam.
According to the top BJP leader, the Prime Minister's tripling
of the northeast region's budget has brought in infrastructure improvements
across all sectors.
"BJP offices are not just brick and mortar structures, but
rather they are reflections of the dedication, emotion, commitment, and hard
work of party workers," Amit Shah said in reference to the new party
office.
Earlier, Mr. Shah and BJP president JP Nadda formally opened the
party's new headquarters in the presence of others, including Tripura Chief
Minister Manik Saha, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Chief Minister of the
Union Territory Sarbananda Sonowal, and Chief Minister of the state of Himanta
Biswa Sarma.
The six-story skyscraper with the former prime minister Atal
Behari Vajpayee's name was then toured by the leaders.
Additionally, Mr. Nadda practically placed the cornerstones for nine district party offices, while Mr. Shah activated the remote control to do the same for 102 BJP regional offices around the state.
