The document, which has gone viral on social media, shows that the complaint was lodged against "Indra Devta."

Digital Desk: A farmer from Uttar Pradesh filed a complaint against Indra Dev, the rain god, seeking action against him due to a lack of rain and drought conditions. An action against Indra Dev was allegedly recommended by a top revenue department officer in the district.

During the Sampurna Samadhan Divas, also known as the Total Redressal Day, which was held in the village on Saturday, Sumit Kumar Yadav, a resident of Jhala village in the Gond district, filed the complaint.

The document, which has gone viral on social media, shows that the complaint was lodged against "Indra Devta."

Yadav said in his complaint that the district's poor rainfall negatively influenced people's lives. "Due to the lack of rain, everyone is suffering. Consequently, I'm asking the district magistrate to take action against Indra Bhagwan," he wrote in the complaint.

The complaint letter was handed to the tehsildar. Reportedly, without even reading the letter, revenue official NN Verma passed it to the DM for action.

However, Verma denied forwarding the complaint to the DM after a photo of it went popular on social media. He claimed that no such matter had come before him and that the seal on the complaint letter was a duplicate seal.

"I was not informed of such a thing. The seal that can be seen on the complaint letter is fake. Complaints received at the Sampurna Samadhan Divas are assigned to specific departments and are never passed to other offices. So it appears that everything here is fabricated. This is being probed," he said.

However, as per reports, Verma signed the complaint form and wrote, "forwarded for future action."
