Digital Desk: Amitabh Bachchan owns several profuse residences in Mumbai, but recently he sold his family home ‘Sopaan’ at Gulmohar Park in South Delhi. The purchase was finalized for a hefty Rs 23 crore, according to reports.
Reportedly, Big B’s family home, Sopaan, has been purchased by Avni Bader, the CEO of the Nezone group of firms. He is said to have known the Bachchan family for many years.
“Because it’s an old structure, we’ll dismantle it and rebuild according to our specifications. We’ve lived in the area for a number of years and were looking for an additional property. When this offer came through, we said yes right away and bought the property.” Avni Bader told.
Amitabh Bachchan’s late father and noted poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan and mother Teji Bachchan lived in Sopaan.
Reports said that 418.05 square-metre property was finalized on December 7.
The house holds many memories of the late Harivansh Rai Bachchan, where he organizes poetry sessions.
Amitabh Bachchan, the legendary Bollywood actor, has yet to comment on the news.
