Digital Desk: Despite recent speculations about crew changes and potential delays, the team behind Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna's highly anticipated film, Pushpa 2: The Rule, has confirmed that the movie is on track for its scheduled release on August 15, 2024.
The film, directed by Sukumar, has been making headlines for its massive fan base and the excitement surrounding its sequel to the 2021 hit Pushpa: The Rule. However, rumours of editor Antony Ruben's departure and the possible addition of Navin Nooli raised concerns about meeting the release date.
Addressing these rumours, a source from the film's team reiterated their commitment to the release date, stating, "Pushpa 2 will be releasing on August 15; that's a firm commitment." Another source confirmed that Allu Arjun will complete shooting for the film this month, and the rest will be wrapped up by June, making it impossible for the film to be delayed.
While the sources remained tight-lipped about the status of Antony Ruben as the film's editor, they emphasised that making changes to the crew at this late stage would be difficult.
Pushpa 2: The Rule will see Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil reprise their roles as Pushpa Raj, Srivalli, and Bhanwar Singh Shekawat. The sequel promises to take the story forward, showcasing Pushpa's struggle to maintain his power after rising from a daily wage labourer to a red sanders smuggler and gangster in the first film.
With the release date confirmed, fans can now look forward to experiencing the next chapter of Pushpa's journey on August 15, 2024.
