Digital Desk: The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) head, Raj Thackeray, has issued a strong statement condemning the use of loudspeakers to recite prayers at the state's mosques, demanding the Shiv Sena government to put an end to the practice.
Thackeray stated that the Maharashtra government must ban mosque loudspeakers or else "Hanuman Chalisa will play in loud volume" outside of mosques. The estranged relative of Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has stated that while he is not opposed to prayers, he believes that speakers in mosques should be prohibited.
While addressing a rally at Shivaji Park in Mumbai, Raj Thackeray said, “I am not against prayers, but the government should take a decision on removing mosque loudspeakers. I am warning now...” He also said that he “takes pride in his own religion”, but this practice needs to stop.

"Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have both stated that Devendra Fadnavis will be the next chief minister." Uddhav Thackeray appeared on stage, but he made no mention of a seat-sharing arrangement. "Uddhav only brought it up when he realised that the BJP would be unable to form a government without his assistance (after the 2019 elections)," Raj Thackeray remarked, according to PTI.
Thackeray further asked PM Modi to take action and raid the Madarasas in Muslim shanties, claiming that Pakistani sympathisers are living in houses of worship. He said that the Mumbai Police "is aware of what is going on" and that the government is assisting such persons in producing phoney papers.
He accused the Shiv Sena administration, saying, "Mumbai Police knows what's going on there... Our MLAs are utilising them as a vote bank; these folks do not even have Aadhar cards, but the MLAs get them created."
