'Alliances built on negative perception always fail': PM Modi
The prime minister accused the Congress party of "using" coalitions to topple governments in his speech.

Digital Desk: In his speech to the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) meeting in New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that alliances founded on negative views will lead to failure.

Political alliances have a long history in our nation, but those that were based on animosity were never effective, the PM stated.

The prime minister accused the Congress party of "using" coalitions to topple governments in his speech.

"Congress used collations to cause instability in the nation during the 1990s. Congress established and even overthrew governments. NDA was established in 1998 around the same time, PM Modi said.

He claimed that the NDA was established to bring stability to the nation, not to remove someone from office.
