Digital Desk: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is "a modern-day Mahatma Gandhi" with unalterable integrity who, if labelled dishonest, leaves no room for anyone else to be termed honest, AAP Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha said on Saturday.
Taking strong exception to Chadha's remarks and calling them a disrespect to the Father of the Nation, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva and Leader of the Opposition Ramvir Singh Bidhuri stated that they would sit on a dharna at Rajghat on Sunday to coincide with Kejriwal's questioning at the CBI headquarters.
"AAP was born out of a movement. Kejriwal is the Mahatma Gandhi of the current era—a lionhearted leader with unquestionable integrity. He is not afraid of the BJP's agenda-driven agencies or their vendetta masked as investigations," Chadha said.
He also linked the CBI summons to Kejriwal to Kansa's inability to hurt Lord Krishna, implying that the BJP and its agencies would be unable to destroy the CM.
Meanwhile, Sachdeva asserted that the country has not forgotten "Kejriwal's questioning of the valour of the Indian Army and its proposal to construct a hospital instead of the Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya."
