Delhi liquor policy case: Manish Sisodia jail inmates 'hardcore criminals', conspiracy of Centre: AAP
The Rouse Avenue Court ordered the AAP leader to be held in judicial custody until March 20 in connection with the Delhi Liquor Policy Case, and he was then taken to Tihar jail that afternoon.

Digital Desk: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) said that Manish Sisodia was imprisoned with "the most dreaded criminals in Prison No. 1 of Tihar Jail". Saurabh Bharadwaj, an AAP lawmaker, has charged the federal government with forming a plot to risk Manish Sisodia's life. He questioned the decision of the jail management to house the former deputy chief minister of Delhi in Jail No. 1 despite the court's directive to do so.

Manish Sisodia should be kept in a cell where he can practise meditation, according to a clear order from a Delhi court, Saurabh Bharadwaj said.

"Yet, the BJP-led administration deliberately kept him in Tihar Prison among the most experienced criminals. This is obvious proof of the government's animosity for its political adversaries," he claimed.

In addition, he said that many of the inmates at Prison No. 1 suffered from mental illness and had a history of violent crimes.

"Since there are already other murder cases pending against them, the addition of another murder case would not have much of an impact on them (Sisodia's jail inmates). Manish Sisodia's safety and security are gravely jeopardised by this, " the AAP spokesperson stated.

According to Saurabh Bhardwaj, "The BJP appears to have turned to such extreme methods as a result of the fact that, despite numerous plots, they were unable to defeat AAP in Delhi in three successive elections. This is a bad omen for the democracy in India."

The AAP leader claimed that Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain, who are detained in Tihar Prison, are missed by the party on this Holi, he added.

An undertrial like Manish Sisodia, who is not a convicted criminal, is "being kept with the most dangerous and violent offenders in the country," the AAP has requested an explanation from the Center.

The AAP criticised the BJP's national leadership for abandoning its politics of vengeance and acting swiftly to protect the safety and security of AAP leaders.
