For Shops / Retail Space / Office / Restaurants
1. First and foremost, offer prayers and sweets to Lord Ganpati, the foremost deity who must be worshipped before beginning any new venture.
2. Before starting construction, the land should be inspected, and if found acceptable, the layout should be planned using Vastu principles.
3. It is best to have a shop/restaurant/office in a market complex/shopping mall near a bus/taxi station, temple, airport, etc.
4. No obstructions, like poles or trees etc., should be placed right in front of the entrance door, as this hinders the flow of energy.
5. The entrance should be decorated with auspicious symbols such as Shubh Labh, Riddhi-Siddhi, and Swastik. This helps in the removal of Vastu dosh and increases good fortune and wealth.
6. The temple should be built in the northeast direction, keeping the rest of the direction open and light.
7. When speaking with customers, the salesperson/employee should face east or north.
8. Place your cash box such that it opens to the north or east.
9. No employee or owner should sit under a beam because it affects their ability to think clearly.

Shop owners should not sit in the northeast, northwest, or south directions. Preferred seating for the owner is Southwest and facing East or north.

* South - This can result in loss and tension.
* A Shermukhi, Square, and Rectangular plot is regarded excellent for business purposes.
* Avoid the staircase in the northwest direction.
* For best results, place sale items in the south, southwest, or northwest.
Office
* The entrance door should face north or east directions.
* Avoid putting any other door, pantry, or toilet in front of the entrance door.
* The best direction for the toilet is south, southwest, north, or east. Avoid the centre.
* All doors should open inside allowing energy flow.
* Directors, Managers, etc. should be seated in Southwest, South, or West basis designation.
* All sales employees should sit in the northwest direction.
Restaurant
* The land should be assessed using commercial Vastu principles, which include inspecting the site and surrounding areas.
* An attractive entrance door is a must.
* The reception desk should be on the left side of the entrance, and the cash counter on the right, with an opening on the north or east side.
* Dining halls are preferred in the west, north, or east.
