    Digital Desk: After last night's shooting incident, in which two gunmen went on a rampage, killing one person and injuring nine others, fear engulfed the Begusarai region of Bihar on Wednesday. Seven police officers have been suspended by the police for the negligence of duty while the shooters are still on the loose.

    WHAT HAPPENED LAST NIGHT IN BEGUSARAI?

    In Begusarai's Malhipur Chowk on Tuesday night, two motorcycle-mounted attackers went on the attack and opened fire randomly on the crowd. Nine other people sustained significant injuries, and at least one person was killed.

    According to Superintendent of Police Yogendra Kumar of Begusarai, CCTV showed the two shooters. Police claim Chandan Kumar, a 31-year-old man, was shot and killed.

    JS Gangwar, the additional director general of police in Begusarai, stated on Wednesday, "All night long, there was checking. Districts nearby were informed. On the CCTV tape that a different investigating team collected, criminals can be spotted on the tape. We're checking. A few people have been arrested and are currently being interrogated."

    "Our patrolling party appeared to be in the streets at first. However, they were either unable to check or stop the offenders. Seven police officers have been suspended in this matter with immediate effect, "he added.

    BJP Conducts PROTEST

    On Wednesday, the BJP blocked NH-31 to stage a protest in Begusarai. Additionally, after arriving in Patna, Union Minister Giriraj Singh will travel to Begusarai to meet with the families of the deceased.

    Giriraj Singh attacked the Mahagathbandan government in Bihar as soon as he arrived in Patna, saying, "Whenever a 'Mahagathbandan' government is created, the peace and order situation deteriorates. "Jungle raj" has now been renamed "Janta raj" by the CM (Nitish Kumar).

    Sushil Kumar Modi, a BJP leader, declared he would also visit the relatives of the victims.

    Taking the Twitter he said,"I will reach Begusarai at 5 pm. Will go to the family of the deceased. I will also meet the injured in the hospital. Before this, I will join the protest organised against the rape incident in Lakhisarai."
