Digital Desk: On the roof of the new
Parliament building, the National Emblem was cast and unveiled by Prime
Minister Narendra Modi on Monday. According to senior Central Public Works
Department (CPWD) officials, the 6.5-meter-tall bronze insignia took more than
nine months to cast.

(Shramjeevis) who are doing the task as well. Om Birla, the speaker of the Lok
Sabha, Hardeep Singh Puri, a cabinet minister, and others were in attendance.
The building's breadth is 4.4
metres, and it weighs 9,500 kg, according to a senior CPWD employee. It has
been cast at the top of the New Parliament Building's Central Foyer. To support
the Emblem, a steel framework weighing almost 6,500 kg has been built.
The National Emblem, which will be cast on the roof of the
New Parliament building, has undergone eight stages of preparation, from clay
modelling and computer graphics to bronze casting and polishing, according to a
senior official with knowledge of the development.
It was cut into more than 150 pieces and assembled on the
roof to take the symbol. "Assembly work began towards the end of April. We
finished the work in just under two months, according to the CPWD officer.
