Assam is also providing students with bicycles, computers, and two-wheelers...
Digital Desk: Assam CM reaffirmed his commitment to raising the standard of education in the state on Friday, saying that "Pragati and Vikas rest on improving ease of living and creating an ecosystem where our children can access quality education."
He stated that in addition to remodeling over 4,000 schools and hiring new teachers, Assam is also providing students with bicycles, computers, and two-wheelers. He further stated that the state is working to ensure that students have access to essential tools like bicycles, computers, and two-wheelers to support their academic journey.
3.7 lakh deserving ninth-grade students in government schools received bicycles worth an amazing Rs 161 crore from Chief Minister Sarma and state education officials. Even more impressive is the fact that 56% of those who benefit from this project are girls, demonstrating the government's dedication to gender equality and the advancement of young women.
Chief Minister Sarma described his goal for the distribution ceremony, saying, "We want to build an educational ecosystem where every child has an equal opportunity to succeed. This action is a modest but crucial element of our commitment to making sure that the youth of Assam can concentrate on their studies without being distracted by exhausting commutes."
