    Maximum temperatures in Northwest and Central India will not change substantially today. However, the temperature will drop by 2–4 degrees Celsius before rising again over the next 24 hours.

    Digital Desk: According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), widespread rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds is very likely in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam-Meghalaya, Nagaland-Manipur-Tripura, and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim over the next 5 days due to the influence of strong southwesterly winds from the Bay of Bengal to northeastern States at lower tropospheric levels from the Bay of Bengal.

    During the next two days, widespread rainfall will be accompanied by isolated thunderstorms and gusty winds in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzzafarbad, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. Meanwhile, an isolated hailstorm is expected to hit Uttarakhand on April 21st-22nd.

    On April 21st, Delhi, Rajasthan, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, and Haryana will also see light rain with thunderstorms.

    Maximum temperatures in Northwest and Central India will not change significantly today. The temperature will drop by 2–4 degrees Celsius over the next 24 hours but rise again.

    Temperatures in Gujarat and Maharashtra will drop 2-3 degrees Celsius in the next 24 hours, providing some relief from the extreme heat.

    In the meantime, East India will experience a temperature drop of 2-4 degrees Celsius over the next two days, with no further changes.
