Made in India Dornier plane to be deployed for its first commercial flight today

Ministry of Civil Aviation reported on Monday that Alliance Air will deploy its
first Dornier 228 aircraft on Tuesday for a flight between Dibrugarh and
Pasighat.

In February, Alliance
Air and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited signed an agreement to lease two
17-seater Dornier 228 aircraft. On April 7, Alliance Air received its first
Dornier 228 aircraft.

airline said it would conduct its first flight on Tuesday between Dibrugarh,
Assam, and Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh to boost connectivity in the North

commercial airline flying Indian-made aircraft, Alliance Air will be India's
first airline to fly its aircraft for civil operations.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday,
there will also be inauguration of first flying training organisation at
Lilabari, Assam, it mentioned.
